🛠️ Remote Gateway - Connection failed
The user might not be able to connect to the remote gateway for few reason :
- If the error is in RED or BLACK, this mostly likely means that there is an issue with the firewall rules. If that happens, check that the destination has its ports opened with the client.
If this is good, contact the network team to check that the firewall rules are correctly set from the Remote Gateway instance to the destination server. - If the network is correctly set, the issue may come from Openshift. Indeed, there is an issue where the egress component will reroute the traffic to the wrong IP address. In this case, contact the Linux team to check if that is the case. To “reset” the egress table, there only needs to be a decrease and subsequent increase in the deployment size for Guacamole.
- The Openshift issue has been documented with RedHat, here is the link: https://issues.redhat.com/browse/OCPBUGS-32754
If this issue does not lie with the client's setup, contact the MAYI ID Team, which will have a look at the two teams mentioned above.
